Tue., 7:10am: Three charged in Boardman teen’s death
YOUNGSTOWN – Three people are expected in court to face charges of contributing to the fatal drug overdose of an 18-year-old woman.
The three were indicted Friday on various charges in the death of Erin Trell, a recent Boardman High School graduate. She died of an overdose of several drugs, including Xanax and cocaine, in Youngstown on Sept. 30.
Scheduled to appear in court Tuesday are 20-year-old Ruben Best, 24-year-old Gary Hartman and 46-year-old Marijo Mazon. Online jail records did not say if they had attorneys.
Charges against Best and Hartman include involuntary manslaughter.
Prosecutor Martin Desmond said Best and Hartman are accused of being the suppliers of the drugs, and Mazon gave the drugs to Trell and a juvenile.
