Tue., 11:42am: Man pleads guilty to Southington stabbing death

WARREN — Thomas J. Starr pleaded guilty this morning to aggravated murder in the June death of 35-year-old Jeffrey Westfall.

Starr also pleaded guilty to the felonious assault and attempted murder of his own mother, Lisa Frye.

He was sentenced to life in prison and will be eligible for parole after 30 years.

The stabbing took place at the Southington home Westfall shared with Frey. At the time of the stabbing Starr was also living there.
