Tue, 8:36 pm: Fire rips through Warren home

WARREN — No injuries were reported after a large fire ripped through several floors of a home tonight on the city’s north side.

Warren fire crews were called about 6:49 p.m. at 678 Comstock St. N.W. near Vernon Avenue. The fire began in the basement and quickly spread to the attic, according to neighbors who stood outside in the bitter cold watching crews battle the flames.

Warren City Fire Department said the fire was under control by about 7:03 p.m.
