Sun 1:35 a.m.: Truck hits fence on Franklin

WARREN A pickup truck jumped the sidewalk and ran into a wire fence between the Tribune Chronicle and Salvation Army buildings at 240 Franklin St. S.E. early this morning

The people inside the Ranger XLT pickup jumped out of the still running truck and ran. They were taken into custody moments later by the Ohio State Highway Patrol. An initial report said three females were in custody.

The crash happened at about 1:10 a.m. — or 2:10 a.m. had clocks not been turned back one hour.

Damage was minimal to both the front bumper of the truck and to the fence. Additional information, including names of the people in custody, was unavailable early this morning.
