Mon., 12:21pm: Some snow expected overnight in much of Ohio
Ohioans are expected to see the first widespread snow of the season developing overnight in some areas.
The National Weather Service forecasts snow or rain developing late Monday through early Tuesday in the wake of a cold front moving through the state. Accumulations should be light and mainly on grass and elevated surfaces in southern and central Ohio.
Meteorologists with the weather service say an inch or less is possible. But they say snow may fall hard enough to reduce visibility for early morning commuters and cause some slick spots on roads.
Snow also is forecast to develop in northern Ohio late Monday night into Tuesday with the possibility of 1 to 3 inches in some areas that also may see some lake-effect snow Tuesday.
