Fri 2:47p.m.: Harding cancels tonight’s final home football game

WARREN — Warren G. Harding High School is canceling its football game today against the Lorain Titans because of the heightened tensions in the community since the murder of a 24-year-old man Saturday at a gas station and the shooting death of another man in a confrontation with police on Oct. 19.

Warren Superintendent Michael Notar said, “We made this decision in consultation with the administration and the police department.”

Tonight was the last scheduled home game for the the 2013 football season.
