Mon 2:10 pm: Warren murder suspect arrested in Texas
WARREN – The brother of a man shot to death by police in recent weeks has been arrested on a murder charge in Texas.
Tashawn Walker was arrested shortly after noon today in Baytown, Texas, Warren police confirmed just moments ago. Details of the arrest were not immediately available and Warren police said Texas officers were still on the scene.
A warrant for the arrest of Tashawn Walker was issued in connection with the 12:54 a.m., Saturday, shooting death of Richard C. Rollison IV, outside of the Sunoco Station at 805 W. Market St.
Walker, 26, is the brother of Taemarr Walker, who was shot Oct. 19, after a confrontation with a Warren police officer. Tashawn Walker lists a home address as Baytown Texas, and Tribune Chronicle sources over the weekend indicated that police had reason to believe he was enroute there following the shooting.
Warren police said investigators still are looking at other persons of interest that may have been involved. They released no further details.
