Wed., 12:59pm: Warren teen indicted in best friend’s shooting death

WARREN — A Trumbull County Grand Jury has indicted a woman accused of fatally shooting her best friend Aug. 2 at Perkins Park.

Lakeisha Denise Bell, 19, was indicted earlier today on a charge of murder with a firearms specification and involuntary manslaughter with a firearms specifications.

She was also indicted on charges of having a weapon under disability, carrying concealed weapon and tampering with evidence.

Bell is scheduled to be arraigned at 11 a.m. Sept. 25 before Trumbull County Common Pleas Judge W. Wyatt McKay

She is accused of fatally shooting McKayla Hopkins, 18, of Howland during a celebration of Bell’s 19th birthday.
