Mon. 2:34 p.m.: Library will not get more funds for 2014
The Warren-Trumbull County Public Library will not be getting the cut of state library funding it wants for 2014, lining up another plea to Ohio’s tax appeals board.
Trumbull County’s Budget Commission’s decision Monday to keep next year’s division of the Public Library Fund the same as it was in 2013 leaves the county’s largest library system “where we were last year,” said its director Jim Wilkins.
Although the WTCPL board hasn’t seen the budget commission’s decision and will not meet until next month, “I’m assuming they are going to want to appeal this one also” to the Board of Tax Appeals, said Wilkins.
