Thu. 12:32pm: Coroner: Toddler died within seconds of being hit by SUV

STRUTHERS – A toddler struck Monday week by an SUV as it backed out of the driveway where the boy was playing died of multiple head injuries within seconds of being hit.

The Mahoning County Coroner’s Office identified the Struthers boy as 22-month-old Adan Dorman. The coroner’s office announced the cause of death based on findings of an autopsy.

The boy was hit by a Dodge Durango as the vehicle backed out of a driveway on Euclid Avenue about 7:30 p.m.

Police said they do not expect to file charges against the driver, who is not related to the boy, according to reports.

The accident is being investigated by Struthers police and the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
