Fri. 4:37pm: Warren man jailed in shooting
WARREN – A city man is at the Trumbull County Jail after police said he led them on a foot pursuit on Thursday.
Bond for Keith Jamar Holley, 23, 273 Idylwild St. N.E., was set at $75,000 at his initial court appearance.
However, officials said a hold was placed on him at the jail because of a parole violation. Along with violating parole, he is also charged with carrying a concealed weapon, having weapons under disability and menacing.
Holley was arrested by the city’s Street Crimes Unit about 1:30 p.m. Thursday after he threw a handgun during the foot pursuit, according to a Warren police report. He was taken into custody at 146 Idylwild St. N.E.
Earlier on Thursday, in that same area, police said they found Michael G. Sallaz, 51, 152 Comstock St. N.W., lying in the driveway of a residence at 162 Idylwild St. N.E. about 4:30 a.m.
Sallaz told police he did not know who shot him in the leg, according to a Warren police report.
He was transported by ambulance to a local hospital.
The police report indicates he suffered apparent minor injury. An update on his condition was not available.
Police did not say whether the two incidents were related. No more information was available.
