Mon., 5:30pm: Customer-owned equipment shorts out power
WARREN — About 4,200 customers in Trumbull County, including the Tribune Chronicle, were without power for about a 45 minutes on Monday.
Ohio Edison spokeswoman Robin Patton said about 3,200 customers in Warren and 1,000 in Howland lost power just after 3 p.m. Power was restored to all of those customers by 4 p.m.
Patton said customer-owned equipment that shorted out caused the other customers in the area to lose their power.
The outage affected traffic lights in downtown Warren.
