YOUNGSTOWN — James Ferrara, 64, accused in the 1974 triple murder in Canfield, has been transferred from the Marion Correctional Institution to the Mahoning County Jail where he is to be held until his court arraignment at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
He is accused of murdering Benjamin Marsh, his wife Marilyn Marsh and their 4-year-old daughter Heather in their South Turner Road home. The couple’s 1-year-old son, Christopher, was found bloodied and milling about the dead bodies.
Ferrara has been serving a life sentence in Marion for two drug-related murders in Columbus.
Ferrara was indicted last week by a Mahoning County grand jury on three counts of aggravated murder, one count of aggravated burglary and one count of robbery.
