Tue. 5:21pm: Another trucker sues Pilot Flying J

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – Another truck driver is suing Pilot Flying J over allegations that the nation’s largest diesel fuel retailer bilked customers out of rebates.

Mike Campbell of Holmes County, Miss., filed the class-action lawsuit last week in federal court in Jackson, Miss.

The lawsuit, which is at least the eighth filed against the company, refers to an FBI affidavit for several pages. The FBI alleges members of Pilot’s sales team deliberately withheld rebates to boost Pilot profits and pad sales commissions. No criminal charges have been filed.

Knoxville, Tenn.-based Pilot is run by CEO Jimmy Haslam, who is also the owner of the NFL’s Cleveland Browns and the brother of Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam.

Campbell’s attorney and a spokeswoman for Pilot Flying J did not immediately respond to requests for comment from The Associated Press.
