Thu. 1pm: Warren police investigate shot reports

WARREN – Two days in a row police investigated reports of shots being fired on a northwest side street.

About 5:30 p.m. Wednesday police received reports that shots were fired at a van near Stonegate Place Apartments, along Tod Avenue N.W. After a search of the area, police said they did not find any shell casings, a victim or a suspect.

On Tuesday, city police were looking for at least three people believed to have been involved in an altercation that afternoon that resulted in an exchange of gunfire outside Stonegate Place Apartments.

No injuries were reported.

Police searched for shell casings outside an apartment building, down the street and in an area near Someplace Safe.

They said gunfire, which erupted outside the apartment building around 4:30 p.m., quickly moved across the street to an area near Someplace Safe.

The rolling gunfight ended moments later.
