Wed 2 pm: Marijuana plants found in Bazetta home
BAZETTA – Police removed nine marijuana plants with a street value of about $9,000 from a Durst Clagg Road home after being called to the location to handle a domestic violence situation Tuesday evening.
Officers arrested Jonathan Adams, of 4711 Durst Clagg Road, on a charge of domestic violence involving his stepfather, possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal manufacture of drugs. According to acting police Chief Mike Hovis, the officers discovered the indoor grow around 6 p.m. in Adams’ bedroom, complete with heaters, lamps and fertilizer.
Three officers aided with the incident, which took about 3 1/2 hours. Adams was transported to jail by an officer at the time, while a second officer handled evidence processing at the scene. The stepfather was evaluated on scene by paramedics but was not taken to the hospital.
