Thu. 1:03pm: Defendants sentenced in Liberty homicide

WARREN – Three people accused of taking part in the November 2009 death of a mother and her daughter were sentenced today in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court.

Appollonia Baker, 28, of Youngstown, received six years in prison; Denise Jackson, 28, was given 13 years in prison; and Marquise Floyd, 28, of Youngstown, was sentenced to 22 years in prison.

They are accused of taking part in the shooting deaths of Wilneice Green, 28, and her Ja’Brayasia Green, inside their 3022 Northgate Drive home.

The triggerman in the shooting, Melvin Turner, 39, received a 19 year sentence in February.

James Christian, 23, also pleaded guilty but has yet to be sentenced.
