Sun. 4:09pm: Hubbard assisted living complex gets boost
HUBBARD – Plans are under way for a new assisted living and skilled nursing facility on Elmwood Drive.
CHCC Health Care Centers will begin Phase 1 of the $7 million project by April 1, with an estimated completion date of Nov. 1. The complex will be called Countryside at The Elmwood Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing Facility.
“We will start in 30 days, give or take based on weather issues,” CHCC president Joe Cilone said of the complex, which sits on 5.5 acres of land.
Phase 1, or the Elmwood Assisted Living portion, will include construction of 42 units, eight one-bedroom suites and 34 studios. Cilone noted the building will have the capability of expanding to 60 units. The facility will provide meals, activities, transportation, nursing and a family guest site.
“We’re going to keep people in Hubbard,” Cilone said of the first phase, which he said will create about 35 new jobs.
