Wed. 2:34pm: Man waives hearing in off-campus shooting
YOUNGSTOWN – A man charged with four counts of felonious assault for a shooting Feb. 17 on the North Side near Youngstown State University waived his preliminary hearing in Municipal Court today.
Sylean Wilson, 19, of Pittsburgh, has been in the Mahoning County Jail since the attack where a woman in a car was wounded on Pennsylvania Avenue.
A police officer arriving saw a man he said was Wilson firing a gun and chased him into a nearby apartment, where he was arrested.
