Mon., 10:25am: Howland police know shooting suspects

HOWLAND — Police here said they have the identities of two suspects who tried to rob a mobile home park resident Sunday afternoon before shooting him four times.

Police Chief Paul Monroe also said the same two men are accused of invading the Weir Road home of Matthew Kline two weeks ago when he was pistol whipped and robbed.

Kline, 52, of the Forrest Grove Trailer Park, was scheduled to undergo surgery today at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, according to Monroe.

The chief also said the suspects are not believed to be in a red or maroon Ford Contour as previously reported.
