Seeing Eye

MEMORIES OF A LIFETIME: Kuzman’s Polka Band Summit Jammers will perform 10 a.m. Saturday at a polka party at the “Memories of a Lifetime” at the William Holmes McGuffey Historical Society. The event will be held at Kravitz’s Deli Meeting Room, 3135 Belmont Ave., Liberty. Featured musicians include Dolores DePietro, Joe Godina and Pete November, a Fred Astaire Dance Studio couple. The program is open to the public. Member admission is $5 and non-members is $6. There will be a 50/50 raffle to benefit the society’s education mission. Reservations suggested at 330-726-8277. Walk-ins admitted, based upon seat availability.

MOVIE MATINEE: Warren-Trumbull County Public Library will hold Movie Matinee 2 pm. today at Warren Trumbull County Public Library with showing of the 1952 film “Singin’ in the Rain.” Free admission.

BLOCKWATCH TO MEET: Girard second and third wards blockwatch will meet 6 p.m. Thursday at Girard Free Library with guest speaker John Norman.

COOKING CLASS: Liberty Library Branch, 415 Churchill Hubbard Road, will hold Instant Pot Basics 6 p.m. Thursday. The free event requires registration. Call 330-759-2589.

LEGO GROUP TO MEET: The Liberty Library Branch will hold Lego Club 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday for children in grades kindergarten to sixth.

ARCHIVES DISPLAYED: The Brookfield Historical Society showcases archives on township history at the township administration building. The display includes ledgers from 1939 to 1946, names of Revolutionary War soldiers buried at the township cemetery, property maps, and cemetery and church records.
