POLAR EXPRESS PARTY: Howland Branch Library, 9095 E. Market St., will hold a Howland Holiday Celebration 5 to 7 p.m Wednesday. Children of all ages are invited to wear their pajamas to celebrate the holidays with a reading of the classic children’s book “The Polar Express.”

The event begins at 5 p.m., when children can make holiday crafts and hear the story. At 5:30 p.m., Santa will arrive, and at 6:30 p.m., the Howland High School Chorus will perform.

Refreshments will be provided courtesy of the Friends of the Howland Library. Admission is free.

CHRISTMAS PROGRAM: The “Christmas in Paradise” play and program will be held 6 p.m. Saturday at the First Congregational Church of Wayne, at the corner of U.S. Route 322 and state Route 193 in Wayne Center.

The program will include the play, Christmas carol hymn sing, special music, a Christmas reading and a candlelight service.

Refreshments will follow.

WARREN CELEBRATIONS: Christmas in the Square will be held 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at Courthouse Square in Warren. The celebration will include various events and activities for families.

The Warren Trumbull County Public Library in Warren will host the Christmas craft event “Home for the Holidays” 3 p.m. Saturday.

PLATE COLLECTION: The Sutliff Museum, on the second floor of the Warren-Trumbull County Library, has a Norman Rockwell plate collection on display 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesdays to Saturdays this month.
