Santa is coming to Lordstown

TREE LIGHTING: Lordstown village will hold the annual tree lighting 6 p.m. Friday at the park by the fire department off Salt Springs Road. The event will include caroling, visit from Santa Claus and refreshments.

NEED FOOD ITEMS: The Warren Family Mission is planning its free Thanksgiving dinner for noon to 4 p.m. Nov. 21 and is in need of food donations.

Items needed are stuffing, butter, milk, instant potatoes, gravy, corn, salad mix, rolls, pies, punch mix, coffee and creamer.

Donations can be dropped off at the mission’s main outreach center, 155 Tod Ave. NW, Warren. Call 330-394-5437 for information.

INCREDIBLE HEALTH: Dr. David Vitko, author of “Perfect Cholesterol in Just 3 Weeks Without Drugs,” will speak on how to enjoy health without prescription drugs 6 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 78 E. Liberty St., Girard.

Seating is limited. Call 330-720-8245 for a reservation.

CLOTHING GIVEAWAY: Newton Falls Christian Church will hold a clothing giveaway 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church. Donations of new or lightly used winter apparel will be accepted.

CANCELED EVENT: First Presbyterian Church, 4 Summit St., Niles, has canceled a craft show originally scheduled for Saturday.

FARM MARKET: The Howland Farmers Market will be held 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. the first and third Saturdays of each month at the the Howland SCOPE Center. There will be various vendors through the winter season.

LANTERMAN’S MILL: The Bits and Bites of History will be held noon today at the Tyler History Museum, 325 W. Federal St. in Youngstown. Ray Novotny will chronicle the museum’s story in the program “Remembering the Old Mill Museum.”

Attendees may bring their own lunch or visit Overture for the $6 Bites and Bits lunch special. Call Overture at 330-744-9900 to place orders.
