Crime spree program rescheduled in spring

MAY’S TALK CANCELLED: Allan May has had to cancel his talk on The 1960s Crime Spree at the McKinley Memorial Auditorium in Niles on Thursday due to illness. It will be rescheduled in the spring.

KING TUT PROGRAM: The Newton Falls Public Library will celebrate the discovery of King Tut’s tomb 6 p.m. Thursday with a program on ancient Egypt. Participants will be able to build their own mummy and try Egyptian art. The event is for ages 10 to 15 with registration required.

ADOPTION DAY: Trumbull County Probate Judge James A. Fredericka will host an Adoption Day event 9 a.m. to noon Friday at the Trumbull County Courthouse. “The Adoption Took Time. The Love Arrived Instantly” is the theme for this year’s National Adoption Day event, and will feature several families adopting children. OH WOW! / The Roger & Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science and Technology will present a bubble blast, and the courtroom will be adorned with Super Hero decorations. DRAMA PRESENTATION: Girard High School Drama Club will present a murder mystery dinner show 6 p.m. Saturday in the high school cafetorium. The program is “Pizza, Passion and Pasts.” Tickets are $20 for students and $25 for adults. The interactive dinner theater experience invites guests to ask questions of the suspects during the three-course meal.

HUNTER EDUCATION: The Hubbard Conservation Club, 1760 Wick Campbell Road, will hold a hunter education program 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

RELAY CRAFT SALE: Blessed Sacrament Parish Relay For Life team is hosting a Holiday Craft Sale 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Covelli Gym, 3020 Reeves Road NE, Warren. Featured are 30-plus tables, basket raffle, and lunch. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.

LIBRARY FINES: Girard Free Library will offer food for fines through Nov. 20 . People who bring in two or more non-perishable food items will have fines of up to $25 waived. Fines must be on Girard Library items only. Food will be given to the Emmanuel Care Center to help needy families. Call 330-545-2508 for more information.
