Garage sale to raise money for Upton group

ASSOCIATION FUNDRAISER: The Harriet Taylor Upton Association will hold a garage sale 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and Saturday at the Upton House, 380 Mahoning Ave. NW, Warren.
SOCK DRIVE: Shepherd of the Valley is holding its first Stars and Stripes Sock Drive to benefit local veterans during the month of July. The collected socks will be given to the Trumbull County Council of the American Legion to distribute to veteran men and women in local nursing facilities and veteran clinics. White cotton men’s and women’s socks can be dropped off at any Shepherd of the Valley community between 8:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. daily. Drop-off hours for the corporate offices are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Howland at 4100 North River Road NE, in Niles at 1500 McKinley Ave. and corporate office / At Home With Shepherd: 5525 Silica Road, Austintown.
FREE SEMINAR: Dr. Thomas Gudaitis, from Pinnacle Integrated Health Care LLC and Accelerated Medical Weight Loss, along with the Niles Wellness Center, is hosting a free seminar “Four Secrets to Looking and Feeling Younger,” 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday in the conference room at the Wellness Center. MUSEUM CLOSED: The Leavittsburg Heritage Museum will not hold an open house for July as members are displaying items this weekend at the Trumbull County Fair, along with other historical societies. The next open house is 2 to 4 p.m. Aug. 19.
TCAP REGISTRATION: The TCAP Head Start second annual preschool registration will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Warren West, 1230 Palmyra Road SW, Warren. The preschool runs Aug. 22 to May 22. CAMPFIRE EVENT: Moss Ancestral Home, 1499 Burnett St. in Mineral Ridge, will have a campfire at 8:30 p.m. Saturday with a program. Bill Moss will impersonate Baden Powell, the man who founded the Scout movement more than 100 years ago. Those attending can bring a lawn chair.
AGILITY TESTING: Cleveland All Breed Training Club is hosting an agility test for Masters and Novice, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. today through Sunday at the Niles Wellness Center, 213 Sharkey Road, Niles.
