FOOTBALL TRAINING CAMP: Football training camp will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library for children in grades kindergarten to sixth grade. Participants can wear their favorite team jersey or colors as the get ready for the big game with four quarters of activities. Registration is required by calling 330-399-8807, ext. 206.
NEIGHBORHOOD MEETING: The Northwest Neighborhood Association monthly meeting is 6:30 p.m. Monday at Grace United Methodist Church, Drexel Avenue NW, Warren. Speakers are Warren councilmen Eugene Mach and Larry Larson.
FARMERS MARKET:The Howland Farmers Market will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday and Feb. 17 at the Children’s Rehabilitation Center, 885 Howland-Wilson Road, Warren. The market features locally-grown produce, baked goods and specialty products. During the market at 11 a.m. Saturday will be a Growing Readers storytime, where children’s librarians will share stories.
HERITAGE CENTER: The Warren Heritage Center, 303 Mahoning Ave. NW, Warren, will hold an open house 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Featured program followed by a tour of the historic house. For information call 330-372-0237.
DONATION HELPS FOOD BANK: Families Helping Families raised money based on items purchased at Giant Eagle’s deli and meat departments during a promotional period. The Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley this week received a $7,500 check from a promotional program from Giant Eagle and Philadelphia-based premium deli meat and cheese company Dietz & Watson. For every pound of Dietz & Watson meats or cheeses purchased at area Giant Eagle from Nov. 2 through Dec. 6, 2017, Dietz & Watson made a donation to a local food bank chosen by Giant Eagle. Dietz & Watson donated $45,000 to six local food banks on behalf of Giant Eagle. This will fund 202,500
