Salvation Army offers free coats

SEEING EYE

WINTER COAT GIVEAWAY: The Salvation Army, 270 Franklin St. SE, Warren, will hold a free winter coat giveaway 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and 1 to 2 p.m. Monday to Friday through Jan. 19. Those needing coats are asked to bring identification. There is limited supply on first-come, first-served basis.

KINDNESS ROCK: Liberty Library Branch, 415 Churchill Hubbard Road, will hold a Kindness Rock program 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. The free event consists of decorating rocks and then hiding them for others to find. Come join the family-friendly fun of rock painting. The library will provide the rocks and painting supplies, and each participant will take home his or her own personalized rock. For children ages 8 and up and adults. RAILROAD CLUB SHOW: The Youngstown Model Railroad Association will hold its annual winter flea market and train show 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at Salem Center Complex, 1098 Ellsworth Ave., Salem. The show will include more than 300 dealers with merchandise and equipment for all model railroad scales and interests. There will be a 70-foot-long operating HO modular layout of the National Model Railroad Association. There also will be an eight-foot operating N scale layout. For information, call 330-547-3614.
