Theater event to help SCOPE

SEEING EYE

‘SECOND TIME AROUND’: Mike Wilson, SCOPE director, will turn 60 in January. To celebrate, Wilson rented Trumbull New Theatre near the Eastwood Mall in Niles for a private showing of the live theater comedy “Second Time Around” by Henry Denker. Proceeds will go to SCOPE.

The show will be 3 p.m. Jan 21. The lobby opens at 2. Admission cost of $15 includes finger foods, refreshments, wine and a birthday dessert surprise. Stop by any SCOPE center to purchase tickets. Cash only.

ANIMAL GROUP TO EXPAND: Angels for Animals in Canfield is planning to expand its services and its clinic in 2018 but is asking for help from the community. Plans are to break ground for the Angel Wing, a full-service 24 / 7 vet clinic, in the spring. The public can purchase a square foot of the wing by calling Diane at 330-502-5352 for naming opportunities.

ANGELS NEEDED: Guardian Angels of Trumbull County, a volunteer program of the Trumbull County Probate Court, is looking for volunteers. Angel volunteers receive training to become advocates who reach out as friends to seniors who may need a phone call, a visit in a nursing home or a visit at home.

The next meeting is 5 p.m. Jan. 9 at Shepherd of the Valley, 4100 North River Road, Howland. For information, call 330-675-2521 or go to www.trumbullprobate.org.
