Warren church to provide garments

CLOTHING GIVEAWAY: Deliverance Temple Church of the Apostolic Faith, 1849 West Ave. NW, Warren, will hold a clothing giveaway 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. There also will be miscellaneous items available.

HIGH SCHOOL ADDS CENTER: The Lordstown Local School District has created an Innovation Center at Lordstown High School for the new school year. The media center has been repurposed as an Innovation Center. Previously underutilized space at the high school will include a research and writing center with computers, Chromebooks and a 3D printer. The Trumbull County STEAM program, which has students from throughout the county, will be using the center during the first semester of this school year.

TNP OFFERS GRANT: Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership will be providing additional funding for the Building a Better Warren mini-grant program, made possible by a grant from the Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley and the First Place Community Fund. Building a Better Warren offers residents and neighborhood associations interested in taking on a neighborhood cleanup, beautification or other improvement project to apply for up to $300 for the project. Reimbursement or funding will be offered through a gift card or other method. Applicants can call Denise at 330-460-6827 or download the application at www.tnpwarren.org. The funding can be used for flowers, plant material, paint, playground equipment or repairs, fencing or other materials.

SOUND PROGRAM: The OH WOW! Roger and Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science and Technology, 11 W. Federal St. in Youngstown, will present a program on Beautiful Sound noon to 2 p.m. Sept. 9. There will be activities to make sound on paper. For information call 330-744-5914.
