300 Sisters in Red program Saturday at YSU

YOUNGSTOWN — The 12th annual 300 Sisters in Red program, sponsored by The Youngstown Chapter of The Links Incorporated and Mercy Health, will be held 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Youngstown State University, Kilcawley Center.

The 300 Sisters in Red program combines the efforts of Mercy Health and their dental van, the American Heart Association, the Joanie Abdu mobile mammography unit and vendors from across the community. The target is underinsured, minority women. The goal is increased heart health awareness, improved access and understanding of health issues, access to some free health screenings and improved motivation toward better health care.

The program includes blood draws, educational sessions, exercise and a lecture by an expert in their field over a healthy lunch. Registration is required.
