BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT: Catholic Charities Regional Agency’s monthly bereavement / grief support group meeting will be held 1 to 3 p.m. today on the third floor of the Trumbull location of Catholic Charities, 175 Laird Ave. NE, Warren.

CELEBRATING PRESIDENTS DAY: The McKinley Birthplace Home, 42 S. Main St., Niles, will mark Presidents Day with an open house from noon to 4 p.m. Monday. There will be tours of the home.

CLOTHING GIVEAWAY: Leavittsburg Church of God, 610 S. Leavitt Road, will hold a clothing giveaway 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.

PASTA COOKOFF: Blessed Sacrament Parish Catholic Community, 3020 Reeves Road NE, Warren, hosts its 15th annual Pasta Cookoff and Wine Taste from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Feb. 26 in the parish’s Covelli Center Gymnasium. Local professional and amateur chefs will compete for People’s Choice Award.

STEM EXPO: Youngstown State University will hold a STEM Expo noon to 4 p.m. Feb. 23, with more than 60 employers attending. The event will be held in the Chestnut Room of Kilcawley Center campus, hosted by the university’s College of Science, Technology and Engineering and Mathematics.

Employers from private, non-profit and government sectors are invited to participate.

COOKIE BAKEOFF: The Mahoning Valley Historical Society is recruiting amateur and professional bakers for the fifth annual Cookie Table and Cocktails fundraiser 7:30 to 10 p.m. Feb. 25 at the Tyler History Center in Youngstown.

Bakers are invited to submit cookies to be judged in the contest and to fill the cookie table. Bakers provide eight to 10 dozen cookies and receive one free ticket. Cookies are judged in amateur and professional categories as well as specialty categories like best chocolate, best traditional and best decorated.

A maximum of 60 amateur bakers will be accepted. Baker registration forms are available at or by calling 330-743-2589.
