GARDEN GUILD PRESENTATION: St. Michael Garden Guild presents an evening with Thomas Welsh, author and historian, at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Family Life Center, St. Michael’s Church, Canfield.

Attendees will have the chance to win an autographed copy of his book, “Classic Restaurants of Youngstown.”

BITES AND BITS PROGRAM: The Mahoning Valley Historical Society’s next Bites and Bits of History Lunch Program is noon Thursday at the Tyler History Center, 325 W. Federal St., Youngstown. Audience members will have their chance to stump a local historian.

A panel of historians will be available to answer any local history question brought in by the audience. The panel will include MVHS Executive Director Bill Lawson, Idora and Mill Creek Park expert Rick Shale, and several other MVHS board and staff experts.

USA DANCE: USA Dance on Nov. 20 features bolero lessons and general dancing at the Orthodox Center, 1025 N. Belle Vista Ave, Youngstown.

The evening will feature bolero basics at 5 p.m., followed by bolero lessons sponsored by Bob McPhail, and open dancing to ballroom, Latin, swing and hustle.
