VICTORIAN HALLOWEEN PARTY AT MUSEUM: A Victorian Halloween party will be held 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the second floor of the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library, 444 Mahoning Ave., Warren.

The Victorians celebrated Halloween and the origins of trick or treating traces to the period, according to the museum.

Entertainment will include tours, Halloween ghost stories, a scavenger hunt, crafts and refreshments. Costumes are encouraged.

PARISH TO HOLD OKTOBERFEST: Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, 381 Robbins Ave, Niles, will hold Oktoberfest with an Italian flair Friday to Sunday.

The event will be held 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday, 3 to 9 p.m. Friday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. There will be food, raffle drawing with tickets to be drawn at the summer festival. There will be an early bird drawing at the festival.

YWCA TO MARK CENTENNIAL: The YWCA of Warren will hold a centennial celebration 6 p.m. Oct. 20 at Packard Music Hall. The event will celebrate 100 years of the organization and its work for the community.

In 1916, 800 women signed applications for membership in a YWCA and signified their desire to affiliate with the national organization.

LIBRARY HOLDS HALLOWEEN PARTY: The McKinley Memorial Library will hold a Kids’ Halloween Party for children ages 3 to 11 years old. Children can dress in their costumes and come hear monster stories, play games and make crafts.

DETOX PROGRAM OFFERED: Turning Point Counseling Services Inc., Youngstown, has begun providing in-patient drug and alcohol detox services at its Belmont Avenue facility. The program is a five-to-seven-day residential program. Turning Point is working with Neil Kennedy Recovery Center and Meridian Healthcare for additional treatment.
