YSU HOMECOMING COURT: Ten Youngstown State University students have been elected to YSU’s 2016 Homecoming Court, including:

Demetrianna Antonelli of Struthers, Roselynn Betras of Youngstown, Jonathon Burns of Poland, Rachel Davis of Youngstown, Ian Dunlap of North Jackson, Kyle Moore of Youngstown, Jacob Schriner-Briggs of Youngstown and Todd Zickefoose of Warren.

YSU will crown its 2016 Homecoming Queen and King during halftime when the Penguins face Indiana State at 4 p.m. Oct. 29, at Stambaugh Stadium.

ENROLLMENT INFORMATION: Hannah E. Mullins School of Practical Nursing will be having an enrollment information meeting for the March 2017 class at 2 p.m. on Monday. OFIC DONATION: AT&T has made a $50,000 contribution to The Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges (OFIC) to continue support of the organization’s Bridges program in the northeast Ohio area.

The Bridges Program creates a pathway for urban and economically disadvantaged students to gain access to higher education by providing information for both students and their families regarding the importance of a college education, the financial and educational preparation required, and the higher education processes involved.

ORIENTATION TEAM: Tiffany Harris of Warren is a member of the 2016 Orientation Team at Ashland University. Harris, a 2015 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, is majoring in marketing.

The Orientation Team organizes the Ashland University summer orientation program. This program is designed to introduce freshmen, transfer, minority, commuter, international and other special interest students to the campus. It also aims to enhance social interaction and to provide incoming students with necessary information for a successful college career. The Orientation Team is also involved in the Week of Welcome and Fall Orientation.

HONORS SOCIETY: Emily Wirtz, daughter of Robert and Patricia Wirtz of Youngstown, is a member of the Sigma Tau Delta Honors Society at Ashland University. A 2013 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School, she is majoring in psychology.
