McKinley Memorial Library
Children’s Programs:
• Baby & Toddler Storytime — Mondays at 10 a.m. in the children’s room in the library. This lap-sit program for babies ages birth to 3 years will introduce short stories, rhymes, songs and more.
• Preschool Storytime — Monday mornings at 11 a.m. and most Tuesdays at 10 a.m. in the children’s room in the library. Each session will feature books, fingerplays, music, interactive games and activities, and a themed craft.
• Pages in Pajamas Family Storytime — Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. in the children’s room in the library. Children ages 3 to 8 are invited wear their pajamas. There will be stories, songs, a craft and more.
• Music & Movement — third Friday at 10 a.m. in the chldren’s room in the library. Children ages 18 months and walking independently to 5 years can join library staff for 30 minutes of moving and grooving.
• Monday Mania Programs — Children ages 5 to 11 can stop into the children’s room after school on Mondays between 3:30 and 4:30 p.m. to participate in a fun activity. This program will feature Lego activities, craft activities, iPad exploration, simple science projects and more.
• Kids’ Halloween Party — Oct. 29 at 11 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 56 N. Chestnut Ave., Niles. Children ages 3 to 11 can dress in their costumes and come hear monster stories, play games, make crafts and more. Pre-registration is requested and space is limited.
• Lego Club — Children ages 5 and up are invited to join library staff at 11 a.m. Oct. 22 in the children’s room in the library to build with Legos and participate in fun activities.
Teen Programs:
• Teen Thing Thursdays — Teens ages 12 and up are invited to spend 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Thursdays with library staff at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 56 N Chestnut Ave., Niles for fun programs.
