Newton Falls to host car, bike show

CAR AND BIKE SHOW IN FALLS: Newton Falls will hold a car and bike show this weekend. The 30th annual car show will be 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday in the village’s downtown area. Trophies will be presented at 6 p.m.

The event will include a 50-50 drawing, basket auction and live musical entertainment. For information call Tony at 330-350-4546.

The bike show will be noon to 6 p.m. Sunday in downtown area. A poker run will be from 12:15 to 4:30 p.m. Field events start at 5:30 p.m. There will be a vendors’ fair.

JOB FAIR AT SHEPHERD: Shepherd of the Valley, 1500 McKinley Ave., Niles, will hold a job fair 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today. Open interviews will be conducted.

JUDGE AS GUEST SPEAKER: Trumbull County Common Pleas Probate Court Judge James Fredericka will speak 9:15 a.m. Tuesday at the Girard Multi-Generational Center, 443 Trumbull Ave., Girard. He will answer any questions and talk about services provided by the Probate Court.

HISTORY CAMP: The Mahoning Valley Historical Society is sponsoring a “My Town, Your Town, Youngstown” summer say camp 1 to 4 p.m. Monday to July 1 at the Tyler Mahoning Valley History Center. The camp gives children the chance to explore local history.

The five-day camp includes field trips to historical sites and landmarks. Topics include first local inhabitants and pioneer settlers. The camp is for ages 7 to 14. Register at 330-743-2589.
