Enjoy images of lake’s birds

BIRDS OF MOSQUITO LAKE: The Bristol Public Library will host “Beautiful Birds of the Diverse Mosquito Lake Area” 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Larry Richardson will be presenting a slide show featuring the images of photographer Brian Zwiebel. Registration is required at 330-889-3651 due to limited seating. Over 250 species of birds are found in the Mosquito Lake and Creek and Grand River Wildlife area.

JUDGE TO SPEAK: Probate Court Judge James A. Fredericka, will discuss court services and programs that assist senior citizens and veterans in our community 9:15 a.m. today at Girard Multi-Generational Center. He will highlight the Guardian Angels volunteer program and the Veterans Assistance Program.

FARMERS MARKET: A Farmers and “Art” Market will be held 3 to 6 p.m. today at Courthouse Square. In coordination with Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership, the event will include food and art vendors, kids’ activities, live music with Jay Wonder and cooking demonstrations. Free transportation is available to the market.

DIABETES FUNDRAISER: JR’z Pub in Austintown is hosting a fundraiser car and bike cruise 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday for diabetes. Event includes 50 / 50 auction, Chinese auction and food specials. DJ Tony P will provide entertainment. The band Time Travelers will play 9 p.m. to midnight.

The event is in honor of Alexander and Cameron Kerby and their fight against diabetes. All proceeds go to the American Diabetes Association. All donations go under “The Kerby Boys Team.”

PATRIOTIC WREATH: The Niles Scope Senior Center will hold a patriotic wreath “make and take” 10 a.m. today. The wreath can be displayed for July 4.

UPTON OPEN HOUSE: Several summer events are planned for the Upton House, 380 Mahoning Ave. NW, Warren . The July open house is 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, featuring Christmas in July. Admission is free, and visitors will be able to view three new rooms never seen by the public until this year.
