FEATHERED MIGRANTS: Amy Reeher, Trumbull Soil and Water Conservation District administrator, will speak about the arrival of migratory birds 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Howland Library Branch, 9095 E. Market St. The program is free to the public.

NHS PLANS SPRING EVENT: The Niles Historical Society is having its annual spring event 5:30 p.m. April 20 at Ciminero’s Banquet Centre in Niles. Guest speaker is Nicole Marino, who is a member of the Ohio History Service Corps. She will speak on World War II food gardens for defense. Ralph Tolbert will also have a slide show on parts of Niles history. Tickets are $25 per person. There will be a raffle and door prizes.

VETERANS OF THE VALLEY: The Mahoning County Board of Developmental Disabilities will present the fifth annual Veterans of the Valley Luncheon 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at St. Nicholas Church social hall, 764 Fifth St., Struthers.
