Students entering grades 4-9 can join the library for Book Bites at 4:30 p.m. every Thursday. Participants can bring any age-appropriate book and discuss it with the group over snacks. On the first Thursday of the month, the library will have Creative Media Book Bites, where participants will create art and media projects based on their favorite books. Register anytime.

Writers looking for feedback on a poem, story, novel or whatever else they are working on can join the Library Writers’ Club, which meets 5:30 p.m. on the second Thursday of the month. Participants should bring a piece of writing to share or just come sit in. Refreshments are provided. For ages 16 and up.

The library’s technology educator, Brooke Mayle, will teach 90-minute classes on three Mondays and one Saturday each month.

What is digital media? Is it available at my library? Learn to access and use e-books, audiobooks and more. Come to a 90-minute class 6 p.m. Monday and find out what digital media options the library offers.

On Thursday, the library will close at 5 p.m. and be closed on Friday for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

On Wednesday, the meeting room will be transformed into a giant Candy Land board. Children can walk through the Licorice Forest and around Gumdrop Mountain while collecting candy. For children ages 8 and younger. Game is geared for children ages 3-5. No registration is required. Stop by anytime between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. to play. Game play generally takes 20 to 30 minutes.
