Gardening meetings planned

WARREN – Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership, 147 W. Market St., Warren, will be offering gardening programs for the public with guest speakers from Ohio State University Master Gardeners.

Programs are:

11 a.m. to noon Saturday – “Improving Your Garden’s Soil with Compost Tea.” Demonstrators will show how to use the compost tea brewer bought with R.J. Wean Foundation Neighborhood Success grant funds. People can learn how to make their own compost tea brewer.

11 a.m. to noon Aug. 9 – “Presentation: Improving Your Garden Soil with Vermiculture (Worm Composting).” OSU Master Gardener Volunteer Genevieve Germaniuk will tell about her experiences with worm composting. The Garfield Community Garden “Worm Factory” will be on display. Participants will see how easy it is to make there own worm “factories.”

11 a.m. to noon Aug. 30 – Meeting of Garfield Gardeners and question and answer session with Ohio State University Extension Master Gardener volunteers.
