Concert to benefit Alzheimer’s group

FREE CONCERT UNDER BIG TOP: Community Skilled Healthcare Centre, 1320 Mahoning Ave., N.W., Warren, in conjunction with Crossroads Hospice, will host a free concert under the “Big Top” at 3 p.m. Thursday. Christopher Milo is the featured pianist. Refreshments will be available with proceeds from sales to benefit the Alzheimer Association.

The concert is free.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO HELP AT FAIR: Down Syndrome Association of the Valley is in need of volunteers to help at the Canfield Fair for the association’s booth Wednesday to Monday.

The association is also planning for the seventh annual Buddy Walk to be held in September.

SERVICE DIRECTOR TO SPEAK: The Southwest Neighborhood Association will meet at 6 p.m. today at the New Freedom Missionary Baptist Church, Tod Avenue, Warren. Guest speaker is new Trumbull County Commissioner Mauro Cantalamessa.

ASSOCIATION TO MEET: The Southeast Side Community Association will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday at the James White Hall, corner of Milton and Willard streets S.E., Warren. Guest speaker is police Chief Eric Merkel. The public is invited.

CLOTHING DRIVE PLANNED: The Church of Jesus Christ, 1900 Keefer Road, Girard, is having a free clothing drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday for all ages.
