Unseen tour in Robins Theater

UNSEEN TOUR PLANNED IN WARREN: The Unseen City Tour of Warren will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday beginning and ending at Robins Theater, 160 E. Market St., across from Talmer Bank near the Horseshoe bar. The tours will showcase the hidden historic sites of downtown Warren.

The Robins Theater doors will be open to the public for the first time in 40 years. Volunteer tour guides will lead groups from one place to the next including the Masonic lodge, the new Artisan Cafe and a view of Market Street from the highest commercial building in the city.

A brief history will be provided about each site, and entertainment will be provided along the way.

DUNKING BOOTH TO HELP MISSION: Adults and kids can test their throwing skills at a dunking booth that will serve as a fundraiser for the Warren Family Mission, a nonprofit, faith-based family resource center dedicated to serving residents of Trumbull County, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the safety fair in the parking lot at Trumbull Memorial Hospital, 1350 E. Market St., Warren. The event is free.

BETTY’S ANGELS GOLF OUTING FUNDRAISER: Betty’s Angels will host its annual golf outing fundraiser on July 12 at Mahoning Valley Country Club, 710 E. Liberty St., Girard, to support the Children’s Shelter in Howland. Check-in is 8 a.m., with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. until finished.

EVENT TO HELP ANIMALS: The Animal Welfare League’s Menagerie Thrift and Gift Shoppe will hold a storewide sale from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. All proceeds will benefit the AWL’s shelter animals.

ADOPTION PROGRAM: Northeast Ohio Adoption Services will hold an informational session from 5 to 7 p.m. July 8 at the offices, 5000 E. Market St., Suite 26, Howland. Mahoning Valley area adults, couples or singles who are considering adoption or giving foster care to a school-aged child, can stop in for the session. People can talk to NOAS Staff to learn more about Ohio children and teens who need good families.
