Safety fair hosted by TMH
HOSPITAL HOSTS SAFETY FAIR: The annual orthopedic and safety fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at Trumbull Memorial Hospital, 1350 E. Market St., Warren. The free community event is open to all ages – children to senior adults – and will be held in the hospital’s main parking area.
The event will include a variety of health and community displays, free health screenings, safety and health information, a blood drive for the American Red Cross, kids’ fingerprinting, a smoke safety trailer, bike and car seat safety tips, and a texting-while-driving simulator. Orthopedic and emergency physicians and staff will be on hand to answer questions.
Adults and kids can test their throwing skills at a dunking booth that will serve as a fundraiser for Warren Family Mission, a non-profit faith-based family resource center that serves residents of Trumbull County.

FREE LAWN CONCERT WITH BALLOONS: A free Concert on the Lawn and Balloon Show will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Grace United Methodist Church, 1725 Drexel N.W., Warren. Gentleman Joe from Zap Entertainment will perform at 6 p.m., and the Cortland Community Band will perform from 7 to 8 p.m. Food will be available for purchase. Those attending are asked to bring a lawn chair.
HISTORIC HOME HOSTS OPEN HOUSE: The Hubbard Historical Society will hold its monthly open house from 3 to 5 p.m. the second Sunday of each month through December at the McBride House, 27 Hager St., Hubbard. Tours are available by appointment at 330-534-1146.
INDOOR DRIVE-IN FOR KIDS: The Cortland Branch Library will hold its B-movie bonanza with an indoor drive-in for children at 2 p.m. Wednesday. A 1959 science fiction movie about teenagers from outer space will be shown.
