Park to host Doggie Day

DOG EVENT AT PARK: Doggie Day at the Park will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Mosquito Lake Park’s dog park off state Route 305 in Bazetta. The event will include dog games, displays and prizes.

TMM SEEKS VOLUNTEERS: Trumbull Mobile Meals has a need for drivers to deliver meals. There is an urgent need for Girard, Niles and Warren routes, but all areas of Trumbull County can use help.

Drivers deliver meals to people who use wheelchairs, walkers and canes, are too ill to prepare a meal, or do not have the resources to drive to a congregate meal site or food distribution center. Call TMM at 330-394-2538.

CHURCH HOSTS SALE: First Baptist Church of Howland, 8957 E. Market St., will hold a gigantic yard sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. There will be a bake sale.

FISHING DERBY FOR KIDS: Eagle Creek Conservation Club will hold a youth fishing clinic aquatic education program from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the club, 5525 Eagle Creek Road, Leavittsburg.

The free program teaches children ages 4 to 15 the basic fishing techniques.

FUNDRAISER PLANNED: The Hubbard Conservation Club, 1760 Wick Campbell Road, Hubbard, is having a garage and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free.The event is the main fundraiser of the year for the HCC, with proceeds benefiting community safety and youth educational programs.

SAFETY PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN: Gordon’s American Martial Arts, 222 E. Market St., Warren, will hold a Children’s Safety Sounds Around Town from 3 to 4:40 p.m. June 28 for children ages 5 to 10.
