Electronic recycling offered

HOWLAND OFFERS ELECTRONIC RECYCLING: Howland Township will have Tri-City Recycling collecting items from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Richard E. Orwig Gazebo Park at the corner of East Market and Willow Drive, across from Giant Eagle on East Market Street. Items being collected include computers, keyboards, printers, all small appliances (no large appliances), televisions, mixed electronics for reuse and recycling of the parts. There will be no charge to township residents.

GALLERY PLANS SUMMER PROGRAM: The Art Outreach Gallery in the Eastwood Mall in Niles will hold Youth Summer Workshops at the gallery June 23 through July 11. The gallery is expanding its summer workshops and children’s programs due to the overwhelming response and success of the programs. Twenty-five workshops are scheduled designed for students ages 3 to 15 . Area art educators and education students will conduct the workshops. Due to the generous donations from local foundations, there is no fee to enter the classes.

Space and supplies are limited, so students must register. Complete the required registration form and drop it off at the Art Outreach Gallery, the Eastwood Mall Customer Service Center or fax to 330-544-5929.

BUS TOUR HAS SEATS AVAILABLE: The Sutliff Museum will hold its eighth annual one-day bus tours for spring and summer. The theme this year is “Travels On the Underground Railroad,” and each tour will go to places that are known to be sites of the Underground Railroad. Brief lectures on the bus provide information on the Underground Railroad in Ohio and Trumbull County. Registration is open. Seats are available for the June 17 trip to the Lake County Underground Railroad site. The bus will leave from the Walmart parking lot at 8 a.m. and return at 6 p.m. For reservations, call 330-856-6293.
