Bicycle tour to highlight wildlife
BIKE RIDE HIGHLIGHTS WILDLIFE: The 10th annual World of Wildlife Bicycle Tour will be held June 7, with registration taken through Saturday. Day-of-ride registrations will be accepted, but the special price for this year’s commemorative T-shirt will not apply.
Except for the first and last miles on public roads, WOW 2014 will use the Western Reserve Greenway in Trumbull and Ashtabula Counties. Participants can bike 20, 40 or 68 miles. Registration and a raffle of bicycling-related prizes will be at Kent State University at Trumbull.
Proceeds will benefit Phase 4 of the Trumbull County portion of the bike trail, the section to be constructed between Warren and Niles.

SOCIETY TO HEAR FROM SPEAKER: The Howland Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. today at the township administration building. Traci Manning, curator of education at Mahoning Valley Historical Society in Youngstown, will speak on Native American Indians of the Mahoning Valley.
