Teens to create cupcakes at library

CREATIVE CUPCAKES: “Cupcakes Creations” will be offered at different Warren-Trumbull County Public Library locations where teens in grades seventh to 12th will create frosted sweet treats. The locations are 3 p.m. Monday at Cortland Branch Library, 578 Lakeview Drive, 3 p.m. Tuesday at Howland Branch Library, 9095 E. Market St., 3 p.m. Thursday at Brookfield Branch Library, 7032 Grove St., 3 p.m. April 21 at Lordstown Branch Library, 1471 Salt Springs Road and 4 p.m. April 22 at Liberty Branch Library, 415 Churchill-Hubbard Road. Registration is required at each location.

HISTORICAL SOCIETY TO HEAR ABOUT HERBS: The Brookfield Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Briceland Funeral Home with speaker Nancy Kovak, president of Trumbull County Herb Society. Discussion will include common herbs and their uses in time for spring planting.

FARM MARKET RETURNS: The Unitarian Univeralist Church, 1105 Elm St., Youngstown, will hold its weekly Northside Farmers’ Market from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Saturday at the church’s Channing Hall. Local farmers will have items. For information, contact Jim at 330-518-6970.

EASTER EVENT PLANNED: The Mecca Civic Organization will hold its annual Easter Egg Hunt Saturday at the township park. Registration begins at 10 a.m. and hunts for ages 10 and younger begin at 11 a.m. There will be prizes for the children. The event will include 50/50 and food.
