Bunny luncheon set for Saturday
BUNNY EVENT: The third annual Munchin’ Crunchin’ Bunny Luncheon will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the McKinley Memorial Library, North Main Street, Niles. Children ages 1 to 12 are invited to bring a blanket and their own brown-bag lunch to eat lunch with the Easter Bunny. There will be stories, crafts and egg hunt on the library lawn. MAP READING: OH?WOW!?The Roger and Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science and Technology, 11 W Federal St., Youngstown, will hold a map reading event from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday to help children practice map-reading skills with a scavenger hunt. The program is free.
GRIEF PROGRAM SET: Grief 101, a program presented by a Hospice of the Valley bereavement facilitator, will be offered from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday at St. Joe’s at the Mall, Eastwood Mall, Niles. The program will explain the grieving process and its impact on people and families. Support materials will be distributed. It is open to the public. Registration is preferred, but not required. DOG GROUP FUNDRAISER: Legacy Dog Rescue, a nonprofit organization is fundraising for the entire month of April at Ponderosa on Elm Road, Warren. Saturday will be an Easter egg hunt and face painting, April 17 and 23 the Dog Rescue will be there with T-shirts and an Easter basket raffle. CHOIR PERFORMS: Hope Lutheran Church Parish will have a combined choir performing for the Lenten season at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 140 Cherry Ave. N.W., Warren.
