Women’s history celebrated

WOMEN’S HISTORY EVENT: The League of Women Voters of Greater Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley Historical Society are sponsoring a free event honoring Women’s History Month at 7 p.m. today at the Tyler Mahoning Valley Historical Center, 325 W. Federal St., Youngstown. The program, “Great Women in Mahoning Valley History” will be presented by Traci Manning of the Tyler Historical Society.

REDEVELOPMENT STUDY: The Building and Sites committee of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County’s Board of Trustees will meet 9 a.m. today in the meeting room of the Main Library, 305 Wick Ave. The purpose of the meeting is to review the redevelopment study for the West Branch library.

SCHOOL TO HOLD MUSICAL: Champion Middle School will present “Shrek The Musical” at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Champion High School featuring drama and choir students. There is an admission. Tickets will be sold at the door.

WEAR PURPLE FOR EPILEPSY: Earth Angel Farm and Mahoning Valley Epilepsy will support Purple Day for epilepsy on Wednesday. People are being asked to show their support by wearing purple. Both agencies support individuals with seizures and developmental disabilities.
