Warren cook wins blue ribbon
Warren resident Megan Todd’s “Giuseppe” pepperoni rolls recipe was awarded a blue ribbon at ”Just A Pinch Recipes,” a recipe social network for home cooks.
Just A Pinch Food Editor Janet Tharpe said that Todd served up a full-flavored dish that was both tasty and easy to prepare.
Todd said, “One day, when I was making my homemade Italian bread, a light bulb went off. And after a few practice runs, I found Giuseppe’s Rolls. Trust me, this recipe is worth the time and effort.”
Todd is one of more than 225 Warren area residents who share recipes with the social network, which has become a large database of user-posted recipes
Tharpe said justapinch.com. users can post their own “family tested and approved” recipes and try recipes submitted by others, use a menu calendar and grocery list, create custom cookbooks, print hundreds of grocery coupons, enter recipe contests and join discussion groups.
“It’s because of people like Megan Todd, who is proud to share her family’s favorite recipes with other home cooks, that the club has become so popular and is growing so fast,” Tharpe said.
Just A Pinch Recipes was founded in 2010.
